Items for aiding fat / EFA (essential fatty acid) emulsification, absorption, and metabolism
By Chris Steiner These items may be helpful for hypolipidemia and to help prevent and resolve disorders metabolic, hormonal, and neurological as neurotransmitter production and nerve health like demyelinating diseases as the nerve cell insulation, the myelin sheath, is comprised of about 80% lipids.
Once an oil is extracted, it starts oxidizing (going rancid) right away, so Carlson adds the antioxidants, tocopherols (natural forms of Vitamin E complex, as alpha, beta, delta, and gamma tocopherols) and rosemary extract. Even plants / plant oils high in Omega-3 fatty acids -- like hemp seed, chia seed, flax seed, walnuts, and edamame -- don't have DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) or EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). I don't know if mail order fish oil is ever refrigerated, so I'd bet health stores that keep their oils refrigerated would have oils that are less oxidized. Algae, being farm-raised, is the cleanest source of EFAs with DHA and EPA of which I know, though the most expensive. Swanson has a good deal for it at https://www.swansonvitamins.com/p/swanson-efas-plant-based-omega-3-featuring-lifes-omega-330-mg-120-liquid-vegan-capsules . Krill oil is little less expensive (https://www.swansonvitamins.com/search?q=krill+oil), and, like fish oil, has to be refined (molecularly distilled) to remove contaminants, like mercury.
