Brian S. Hooker, PhD, PE, is an Associate Professor of Biology at Simpson University in Redding California where he specializes in microbiology and biotechnology. He also teaches chemistry at Shasta College.
Brian dedicated over 15 years as a bioengineer and the team leader for the High Throughput Biology Team and Operations Manager of the DOE Genomics: Genomes to Life (GTL) Center for Molecular and Cellular Systems at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Dr. Hooker also managed applied plant and fungal molecular biology research projects at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where systems biology researchers are focused on understanding gene and protein networks involved in individual cell signaling, communication between cells in communities, and cellular metabolic pathways. Dr. Hooker also served as Research Director for the plant biotechnology company, PhytaGenics.
In 1985, Dr. Hooker earned his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, California. He earned his Masters of Science degree in 1988 and his doctorate in 1990, both in biochemical engineering, from Washington State University, in Pullman, Washington.
Brian Hooker has many accomplishments to his credit including: co-inventor for five patents, recipient of the Battelle Entrepreneurial Award in 2001, and a Federal Laboratory Consortium Recognition Award in 1999, for his work on “Reactive Transport in 3-Dimensions.” The breadth of Hooker’s over 60 science and engineering papers have been published in internationally recognized, peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Hooker has been active in the autism community since 2001 and has a 20 year old son with autism. He currently serves on the advisory board for Focus for Health as well as the board of directors for World Mercury Project. In 2013 and 2014, Dr. Hooker worked with the CDC Whistleblower, Dr. William Thompson, to expose fraud and corruption within vaccine safety research in the CDC which led to the release of over 10,000 pages of documents.

Richard Gage, AIA, is a San Francisco Bay Area architect of 28 years, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and the founder and CEO of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911Truth), a 501(c)(3) educational charity.
Since AE911Truth was launched in 2006, more than 2,850 architects and engineers with verified academic degrees and in most cases professional licenses have signed its petition calling for a new investigation into the destruction of World Trade Center Towers 1, 2, and 7, citing overwhelming evidence that they were in fact destroyed by controlled demolition. The organization also represents more than 21,500 other petition signers in the US and abroad.
During his architectural career, Gage has worked on most types of building construction, including numerous fire-proofed, steel-framed buildings. His most recent project before he became the full-time CEO of AE911Truth was managing the construction documents for a $400M mixed-use urban project with 1.2 million square feet of retail and 320,000 square feet of mid-rise office space and parking structure — consisting of about 1,200 tons of steel framing.

Why I'm Doing This . . .
Willow Herbal Delight Gardens is a recent outgrowth of many passions I've had for a long time, now joining together in an organic herb business from my home in Valrico, Florida. I'm a feminist, heretic, herbalist, lover of flowers and mushrooms and forests and groves, and an organic gardener in deep reverence of the sustainable goddessing ways of Mother Earth. In my gardens and new greenhouse I grow organic medicinal and culinary herbs for farmer's markets (recently begun the process of applying for organic certification). I also distribute organic-certified gardening seeds, as well as books on healing and spiritual uses of herbs, organic gardening, Florida native plants and environment, permaculture, sustainability, and responsible food culture.
The ancient wisdom our ancestors learned from plants is being eroded today along with the soil, clean waterways, air, and once-healthy relationship with the land. I believe a healing Goddess-balm for an ever-increasing toxic and violent world can be found through living in right relationship with the land, nurturing local and sustainable communities, and stopping the plundering of other people's culture and resources by making conscious choices about what we consume and from where.
Corporate agribusiness presents us with ready-for-battle metaphors like, "wars on bugs," or, "competition," against weeds and wildflowers. The armaments of this combat are a deadly cache of poisons which wage ware on soil organisms, wild native plants, insects, birds, mammals, farmworkers, the genes of future generations, and ultimately our water supply and all the creatures who depend upon a wetland or body of water for their habitat. Each natural element is isolated and seen in opposition to the rest.
The madness of taking in toxic food from poisoned soil not only doesn't increase our food supply when you factor in the amount of energy used for the output received, but it is entirely outside of the renewable, sustaining natural pattern of life, death, and regeneration where everything in Nature is always in the process of turning into something else. Decomposing animal and vegetative bodies feed new life, constantly regenerating the entire cycle, a perpetual dance of giving and receiving. Our culture speaks in terms of day being opposite to night, when in fact they both turn into the other, like Winter into Spring then Summer. Nature is not a dualistic, binary, nor linear system. The ever-returning spiral -- one of the most common building fundamentals in Nature -- is a much more appropriate metaphor than the false notion of battle and opposition. And the symbol of the spider's web is a more accurate motif for the ever-connected relationships of natural systems.
As permaculturist, Toby Hemenway, writes, "An ecological design recognizes that nothing in nature stands alone and disconnected." More than ever, we must remember that we are all part of the connecting harmonies in the Circle of Life.

Eileen de Oliveira never thought she would be the administrator of a physical therapy facility for children. But then she never imagined she would have a son with cerebral palsy. Taking on life's challenges has brought Eileen to a point where she has also found a way to help others.
To begin at the beginning, her new mission in life started when she was expecting triplets. Born prematurely, one child did not survive and another, Lucas, developed cerebral palsy. "At 18 months Lucas could not do what other children his age could do," she recalled, and "regular" physical therapy did not seem to be making much of a difference in her son's progress. "I decided I had to do something," she said.
That something was to enroll Lucas in an alternative physical therapy program which provided intensive therapy, four hours at a time, for 3 weeks using special equipment developed in Poland. "Within three weeks Lucas was walking independently."
She decided her son would benefit from another round of intensive therapy but when she called to make an appointment she found the facility had closed its doors.
There seemed to be only one thing for her to do. She bought the therapy equipment, planning to use it for Lucas' therapy at home, but after some consideration, she suggested to her husband they open their own clinic. "Therapies 4 Kids", in Lauderdale by the Sea, was in business in February of 2005.
Bright Steps Forward Launched
Knowing the expenses involved, de Oliveira understood there would be many families who could not afford to pay for their children to get the intensive physical therapy they needed. To address the situation, she founded the 501(c)3 nonprofit, "Bright Steps Forward".
The organization provides financial support for intensive pediatric therapy to disadvantaged children with neurological disorders. The Bright Steps Forward program has already started raising funds.
As the mother of a child with Cerebral Palsy, she quickly learned the frustration of her child needing more therapy than traditional insurance would pay for. This led to her search for other ways to help him. She found alternatives that were available, but were very expensive.
For her, there was no price too high for seeing her son Lucas learn to walk and talk. And when she saw Lucas learn how to walk using cutting edge pediatric intensive therapy, she knew she had to help parents who would otherwise never know the joy of watching their child become independent.
Bright Steps Forward is dedicated to raising funds for children with disabilities in need of pediatric intensive therapy. This type of therapy is offered in 30 locations nationwide, including Therapies 4 Kids, a Florida therapy clinic that has treated hundreds of children from all over the world.
The final touch came when Dr. Moulden agreed to become the “research director” for Bright Steps Forward, where he is validating the Hyperbaric Oxygen and Intensive Pediatric Therapy that the foundation raises money for.
